Heartland of Story County is a non-profit, tax-exempt Iowa corporation. Your donation makes a difference in the lives of those 60+ in Story County. We gratefully welcome financial donations at any time throughout the year to support our mission. Your generosity helps support programs, services, and events that foster community wellness.
Planned Giving
Make a charitable gift to Heartland of Story County part of your long-term legacy and financial planning. Planned giving allows the donor to plan the nature and timing of a donation to make the greatest impact for those 60+ in Story County that you’re supporting, while also gaining tax benefits. The most common form of planned giving is a bequest, in which a person’s will provides a gift of cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, or other assets to Heartland of Story County.

Deferred Gifts
Identify Heartland of Story County as a beneficiary in your will, personal insurance policy, or retirement policy (e.g., a 401(K) program), to serve individuals 60+ in a program or service of your choosing or to support the greatest need of our organization.
IRA Charitable Rollover:
For donors 70 ½ or older, make tax-wise gifts to organizations you support like Heartland. Qualifying donors can transfer up to $100,000 of IRA assets to public charities without being subject to federal income taxes on the distribution.
The Heartland Endowment Fund
Donate to the Endowment Fund and know your generosity will be distributed solely for grants, loans, and gifts that aid, support, and assist Heartland of Story County.
