One of the keys to health and happiness is a good meal. Heartland works with Mary Greeley Medical Center to provide homebound individuals with daily, hot meals.
Meals on Wheels of Story County
Meals on Wheels of Story County are for homebound individuals that need a hot meal delivered to their home in order to stay living independently. This need may be temporary after an illness or hospital stay or more long-term for seniors who aren’t able to leave home and no longer cook.
Meals on Wheels of Story County
a service for homebound individuals provided by Mary Greeley Medical Center and Heartland of Story County
In conjunction with Mary Greeley Medical Center, we provide Meals on Wheels of Story County to homebound individuals unable to make their own food, short-term or long-term, throughout all of Story County. Volunteers bring a well-balanced hot lunch to a senior’s home. In addition to the delicious meal, the delivery offers an opportunity for a friendly visit and a safety check.
Meals are prepared by the Dietary Department at Mary Greeley Medical Center and delivered to homebound individuals by trained Heartland volunteers.

“We heard about Meals on Wheels and tried it — what a lifesaver. We are so thankful for the hot meals delivered to our door by folks who are now friends. The variety of tasty meals is wonderful. Don and I both appreciate the help.”
